Yellow in interior design

The abundance of vibrant colors and contrasting combinations in interior design always captivates and leaves a lasting impression. The right choice of rich hues infuses the room with optimism, uplifts the mood, and fosters a joyful ambiance. Primarily, shades of yellow can illuminate the space with a sunlight-like glow and infuse it with energy. Hence, yellow plays a pivotal role in interior design.

The glistening brilliance of brass

The Continuum collection is renowned for its minimal-chic design, featuring minimalist polymer floors at its core. The decorative elements of the series also warrant special attention due to their diversity and uniqueness. The Brass range from the Continuum collection, realistically replicating the graphics of brass in its pristine Gold and aged Dark forms, bestows a unique character and charm upon spaces.

The Free design bureau was inspired by the Brass Gold 80×160 shade for this living room project, which is featured on a lappatized surface.

The polished tile surface elegantly shimmers under light, highlighting all its graphic nuances. The captivating effect of natural yellowish brass in the interior eases perception and fills the space with warmth and coziness.

The slightly uneven texture of Brass Gold appears very natural in the interior and harmonizes excellently with furniture, accessories, and textiles.

An accent wall made of porcelain stoneware with striking brass graphics will be appreciated by both admirers of modern and unconventional interiors and proponents of classic design and enduring trends.

Vibrant hues

The interior of an extraordinary bathroom must certainly include yellow! It can stand alone as the primary shade of the interior or serve as an accent, blending with the main colors. Always remember the golden rule: the more yellow you use, the more subdued and tranquil it should be. This principle works vice versa as well: the less yellow you use, the more vivid its tones can be.

Designer Angelina Gromova employed a clever trick in her bright bathroom project, adorning the wall behind the sink with Surface Sun porcelain stoneware in a soft yellow hue.

The project’s author cleverly solved two problems by adding contour lighting around the mirror’s perimeter: it provided extra lighting in the sink area and highlighted the textured surface of the porcelain stoneware. The contrasting yellow tiles blend beautifully with all light shades in the interior, particularly with white, creating a stylish and always elegant combination. White is an excellent choice for smaller spaces as it visually expands the area. Knowing this technique, the designer used practical light concrete from the Millennium collection as the primary cladding material.

This, in turn, lends a touch of ruggedness and character to the interior. The black framing of the shower partition is also striking, its clean lines underscoring the interior’s modernity. The project’s crowning touch is a vibrant, colorful mural that gives the bathroom its unique design and individuality.

A touch of mustard

Those who appreciate authentic interiors will certainly enjoy the wall tiles from the Terraviva collection! It faithfully replicates the design of traditional Italian terracotta tiles, capturing every detail of their handmade craftsmanship. The Terraviva range enables the creation of warm and cozy interiors, which is why designer Irina Rusaleeva chose this collection for her next project.

The minimalist design in beige and gray tones is beautifully complemented by an accent wall featuring mustard-colored Senape tiles from the same collection.

Incorporating a vibrant accent into an interior is always a fantastic idea!

This type of decorative wall treatment is natural and organic, drawing just the right amount of attention, delighting with its beauty, and creating a sunny, warm atmosphere.

The bathroom floor also boasts a striking contrast: the designer used porcelain stoneware resembling concrete from the Millennium range in Black, characterized by a deep, dark graphite hue. This unique color combination forms the foundation for a chic and trendy design with a focus on details.

Shades of yellow such as sunny, mustard, sandy, golden, and lemon, among others, will infuse the interior with a sense of comfort and harmony. Don’t hesitate to experiment! Vivid details and bold color accents have the potential to render your interior one-of-a-kind and inimitable. Be it the living room or kitchen, bathroom or hallway, bedroom or dining area — the yellow color in any living space imparts a feeling of freshness, warmth, and emotional comfort.
