Overview from the Italon Flagship Showroom: Forum Collection
Today, interiors are increasingly designed through nuances rather than contrasts. Soft tonal transitions, tactility, light and scale have become more important than bold visual statements. The Forum porcelain stoneware collection by Italon reflects this idea of calm architectural space, where the focus is not on a single tile, but on how every element works together as part of one cohesive concept.
Before moving into the details, it is worth noting that the collection reflects several key trends in contemporary ceramics: a wide colour palette, multiple formats and, most importantly, texture variation.
In the video below, Sergey Dyakonov, Head of Key Account Management, presents a detailed overview of the collection from the Italon flagship showroom and shares practical insights on working with the series.
A palette designed to work together
The collection includes six colours, ranging from the lightest to the deepest tones:
- Polar — the lightest shade in the Italon range
- Pure
- Desert
- Silver
- Iron
- Petrol — the darkest shade
The colours were intentionally developed to complement one another.
This makes the collection particularly easy to work with: instead of searching for complex combinations, designers can build spaces through subtle tonal transitions and layered neutrals.
This is especially effective in monochromatic interiors, where floors, walls and different functional zones are visually connected.
Three textures: different design scenarios within one collection
One of the defining features of the collection is the presence of three different textures, allowing interiors to change character without changing material.
Each colour is available in three surface interpretations:
Slim
An almost monochromatic surface. A subtle play of tones becomes visible upon closer inspection, adding depth and movement.
Wave
A microcement-inspired texture with a soft graphic pattern and characteristic granular structure. A dedicated mould was developed specifically for this surface. Ideal for contemporary and industrial-style interiors.
Stone
A stone-effect surface with calm, balanced graphics and a light structure. Works particularly well in neutral architectural spaces.
Formats: working with scale
The collection is available in three main formats:
- 60×120 cm
- 80×80 cm
- 120×120 cm
The 120×120 format reveals the collection’s aesthetic most fully thanks to the reduced number of grout joints. It is suitable for both residential and commercial interiors.
In total:
- 6 colours
- 3 textures
- 3 formats
= 54 background items.
120×278 cm large slabs: for vertical surfaces and furniture cladding
The collection also includes the 120×278 cm format with a thickness of 6 mm.
There are 6 slab options available:
- 3 in the Slim texture: Polar, Pure, Desert
- 3 in the Stone texture: Polar, Silver, Iron
The Wave texture is not available in the large slab format.
The large size minimises grout joints and enhances the monolithic appearance of the surface, making it ideal for wall cladding and custom furniture applications.
The material is also certified for use in ventilated facade systems.
Decorative elements: subtle accents
The collection is complemented by three mosaic options:
- Strip — elongated pieces for linear graphic compositions
- Classic Mosaic — a versatile universal solution
- Maxi — 9 large-format elements mounted on mesh for more expressive accents
Porcelain stoneware mosaics can be used both on walls and floors, including showers and entrance areas.
They add rhythm and movement to interiors without visually overloading the space, resulting in expressive yet balanced design solutions.
Forum as a design tool
The Forum porcelain stoneware collection is designed as a flexible architectural tool.
Six colours, three textures, multiple formats and decorative elements create a wide range of design possibilities. The collection allows designers to work either with subtle tonal nuances or more contrasting compositions, combining formats and graphics or maintaining a single visual language throughout the project.
This flexibility is exactly what makes the collection relevant for contemporary interiors, where the overall spatial logic matters more than individual elements.
High-resolution textures for photorealistic visualisations are available on the Architalon portal.
