Realized #Italon Project – 104 m² Apartment in Gray Tones
Designer Yana Sochavo proved that gray interiors are not boring! She designed a spacious apartment in the south of Moscow for an adult couple using only achromatic colors, focusing mostly on expressive textures.
In each room you can count several shades of gray, and the entire apartment has the same flooring – concrete effect porcelain stoneware Millennium Silver 80×80 with a matt finish, which creates the impression that one room smoothly merges into another.
The same tiles decorate the kitchen backsplash; it perfectly matches the color of matte facades which are made of natural concrete.
The decorative coverings on the walls and ceiling in the kitchen-living room also imitate concrete.
Industrial motifs in the interior are softened by the warmth of wood and high-quality textiles.
“Perhaps one of the main advantages of the apartment is the panoramic windows,” Yana comments. “On sunny days, the play of light and shadow creates an amazing atmosphere, but during the overcast the space looks no less organic.”
The bathroom with a home sauna turned out to be austere and stylish. For its decoration the designer chose marble effect porcelain stoneware, Charme Black 60×60 with a matt finish, and white wall tiles with the texture of Scandinavian textiles and Matt finish, White Texture 40×80 from the Room collection.
The chosen color palette helped create an interior that will never be boring or go out of fashion; plus, it can be easily changed depending on the mood by adding bright accents.
